Thorne Swift Lakehouse

There's healing in the nature around the rolling waves of the lake. Time really pauses here and you find yourself really relaxing! Thorne Swift Lake House is truly beautiful and our walks on the beach including one under the stars was so awesome! Enjoyed the hot tub and created memories shared over our meals together. We will cherish it for years to come! P.S. The magical sparkling lights were an absolutely MAGICAL welcome!

The Thorne Swift Lakehouse is an exceptional Pure Michigan getaway and one of the most special places we've ever stayed. Tucked away among the trees on a quiet, private cul-de-sac, the setting feels completely secluded while still offering easy access to everything Harbor Springs has to offer. The on-property hiking trails are a true highlight—every turn opens to breathtaking views and peaceful moments that invite you to slow down and take it all in. The outdoor spaces are equally impressive, with beautiful areas for reading, dining, gathering around a fire, or unwinding in the hot tub surrounded by nature. A short trail and just a few steps lead down to a shared—yet wonderfully private—beach on Lake Michigan. There's plenty of space to set up for the day, relax in provided chairs, or enjoy quiet morning walks with coffee while taking in stunning views of the lake and coastline. It's the kind of place where time seems to pause. The Lakehouse itself is equipped top to bottom with everything needed for an unforgettable stay. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and thoughtfully designed, the bedrooms are expansive and comfortable, each with en-suite baths, and the abundance of windows on all sides ensures you never miss the views. Harbor Springs strikes the perfect balance between elegance and charm, with great shopping, excellent restaurants, and plenty of activities in its beautiful harbor setting. Five stars across the board for this true gem in the Thorne Swift Preserve district. We will absolutely be back to make more family memories here—again and again.

What a wonderful treat to be able to spend time at this beautiful home in Harbor Springs, to be surrounded by such amazing views and enjoying everyone's company.
